How many bonus segments are on the Monopoly Live wheel?

Four of 54: three marked 2 Rolls and one marked 4 Rolls. Add the two Chance segments and 6 of the 54 segments are something other than a plain number. The remaining 48 are numbers: 22 x "1", 15 x "2", 7 x "5" and 4 x "10".

That gives a board bonus probability of 7.41% per spin, or one spin in roughly 13.5. Over our last 90 days the two bonuses landed on 5.61% (2 Rolls) and 1.76% (4 Rolls) of rounds, a combined 7.37%, almost exactly the published counts. The numbers landed on 41.74%, 28.59%, 13.31% and 7.56% for 1, 2, 5 and 10 respectively, each within about one percentage point of theory.

What happens when the wheel lands on 2 Rolls or 4 Rolls?

The game leaves the studio wheel and enters the 3D Monopoly board, hosted by the animated Mr Monopoly. Only players with a bet on the specific spot that hit take part. A bet on 2 Rolls does not enter you into a 4 Rolls bonus, and a bet on any number spot does not enter you into either.

The bonus has two phases. First, houses and hotels are added to the properties on the board, which raises the multiplier on each property square. Then the dice are rolled, twice for 2 Rolls and four times for 4 Rolls, and Mr Monopoly walks the number of squares shown. Every square he lands on contributes a prize to the running total. A whole bonus takes one to three minutes. Whatever the board shows when the final roll is resolved is multiplied by your stake on the bonus spot, and by any Chance multiplier the round carried in.

How do houses and hotels change the multipliers?

Before any dice are thrown, the host triggers a build phase that places houses and hotels on properties around the board. Each house or hotel raises the multiplier on that property, so a square that might have paid a small multiplier when bare can pay a much larger one once it has a hotel on it.

This phase is the single biggest driver of how a bonus turns out. A generous build on the expensive properties near the end of the board sets up the four-figure results Evolution says are possible; a thin build followed by rolls onto tax squares produces the single-digit results that make up a large share of 2 Rolls outcomes.

Nothing in the build phase is influenced by players. There is no pick, no aim and no choice: everyone with a bet on the winning spot receives the same multiplier, unlike the per-player outcomes in some other Evolution game shows. What do the squares on the 3D board do?

Each type of square adds or subtracts in its own way. This is the part most players know least about, so it is worth walking through.

Two of these deserve extra attention. Passing GO doubles everything already collected, so a bonus that gets Mr Monopoly all the way around the board can finish far higher than the sum of its squares suggests. Going to Jail is the opposite: rolls spent trying to throw doubles are consumed from your allowance, and a 2 Rolls bonus can end with Mr Monopoly still behind bars and very little on the board. The tax squares are why a bonus can pay less than it appeared to be heading for; a 20% Super Tax deduction on a sizeable total is a visible loss and a legitimate part of the design.

Doubles, both dice showing the same number, give Mr Monopoly an extra roll beyond the two or four he started with. A longer trip means more squares landed on and better odds of passing GO. The dice are the only random element after the build phase, so the number of rolls and where they land decide everything.

What our tracker observed for 2 Rolls

Over the last 90 days the paid 2 Rolls multiplier had a median of 11x, an average of 14.6x, a 90th percentile of 23x and a maximum of 320x. In plain terms: half of all 2 Rolls bonuses paid 11x or less, nine in ten paid 23x or less, and results in the hundreds are rare.

The gap between the median (11x) and the average (14.6x) is the signature of a right-skewed distribution: a small number of large results pull the average up while most bonuses sit in the low double digits. The 320x maximum shows what two rolls can do when the build is generous and Mr Monopoly passes GO, but it is far from typical.

2 Rolls arrived every 18 spins on average in our data. The longest gap was 158 spins, close to nine times the average. Evolution's theoretical RTP for the 2 Rolls spot is 93.90%.

What our tracker observed for 4 Rolls

4 Rolls is where the headline results come from. Over the same 90 days: median 29x, average 46.8x, 90th percentile 101x, maximum 1,200x. One bonus in ten paid more than 101x, which is the threshold most players would call a big win.

The 1,200x result landed on 2026-07-17 and was the only round in the 90-day window to pay 1,000x or more on any spot. It was not alone at the top end. Our tracker also recorded 4 Rolls results of 712x (2026-06-12), 628x (2026-08-09), 619x (2026-08-12) and 525x (2026-08-18). Four of the five largest bonuses in the window happened within about two months of each other, which is a reminder that big results cluster randomly rather than arriving on a timetable.

4 Rolls hit every 57 spins on average, and the longest observed gap was 438 spins. How does Chance work in Monopoly Live?

Chance occupies 2 of 54 segments (3.70%) and is not a bet spot. When the wheel stops there, Mr Monopoly reveals a card, and that card is one of two things.

A cash prize card pays a fixed amount to every bet on the table, whatever spot it is on. The round ends there.

A multiplier card does something different. The multiplier is held, the wheel is re-spun, and the multiplier is applied to whatever the re-spin produces. A "5" re-spun under a 10x Chance multiplier pays 50:1 instead of 5:1. If the re-spin lands on Chance again, the new multiplier multiplies the one already held, and the wheel is spun again. If the re-spin lands on 2 Rolls or 4 Rolls, the accumulated Chance multiplier is carried into the board bonus and applied to the whole bonus result.

That carry-in is the Monopoly Live equivalent of a Top Slot match in other Evolution wheel games. It is the route to the largest number-spot payouts in our data: our tracker has seen the 1 spot pay 100x, the 2 and 5 spots pay 200x and the 10 spot pay 160x, and every one of those came from stacked Chance multipliers rather than the base 1:1 to 10:1 payouts.

Why does our tracker show Chance at 1.42% instead of 3.70%?

Because our feed records the final outcome of each round, not every stop of the wheel. When Chance shows a cash card, the round ends and is logged as Chance. When Chance shows a multiplier, the wheel is re-spun, and the round is logged under whatever the re-spin produced, with the multiplier folded into that round's payout.

The 1.42% you see is therefore the share of rounds that ended on a Chance cash prize. The other Chance stops are hidden inside the number and bonus rows, which is why our observed shares for the numbers and bonuses sit slightly above theory. It also means our bonus statistics already include any Chance multiplier that was carried into the board: a 2 Rolls bonus that paid 320x may have been a 40x board result under an 8x Chance multiplier, or a 320x board on its own, and the feed does not separate the two.

Is 2 Rolls or 4 Rolls the better bet?

Neither, on RTP. Both spots return a theoretical 93.90% according to Evolution, and both are below the 2 spot (96.23%) and the 10 spot (96.02%). If the question is which spot loses least over thousands of spins, the answer is the 2 spot, not either bonus.

The real distinction is variance. 2 Rolls hits three times as often, so a player who bets it every round is in the board bonus about every 18 spins and sees a typical 11x. 4 Rolls hits once every 57 spins on average, with a typical 29x and an average of 46.8x that is dragged upward by results like the 1,200x. Betting 4 Rolls means longer waits between any return and larger swings when a return arrives.

There is a bankroll arithmetic to this. Betting one unit on 4 Rolls through the 438-spin gap we recorded costs 438 units to be in position for a bonus whose median is 29x. Betting 2 Rolls through its 158-spin worst case costs 158 units for a median 11x. Neither is a winning line; both are simply different ways of paying the same 6.10% house edge. Does a bonus drought change the odds on the next spin?

No. The wheel is a physical object with 54 segments, one of which is 4 Rolls on every spin, no matter what the previous spin, or the previous 400, produced.

Our tracker recorded 438 consecutive spins without 4 Rolls. At 1.85% per spin the expected gap is about 54 spins, so 438 is roughly eight times the average. On spin 439 the probability was still 1 in 54. A 4 Rolls that landed two spins ago is likewise not "used up"; the next spin is still 1 in 54.

Long gaps are also not evidence that anything is wrong with the wheel.
