A straight-up player is therefore holding two bets in one chip: a frequent, underpaid roulette bet and a lottery ticket that pays about once per 510 spins on a given number. Session results depend almost entirely on whether the ticket lands, which is why straight-up bankrolls are sized differently below. How many numbers should you cover with straight-ups?
Fewer than you think, because every extra number lowers the profit on a plain hit by one unit while adding only 2.70 points of hit frequency. Coverage does not change the edge, but it changes what a winning spin looks like, and past a certain point most winning spins lose money.
The table assumes one unit on each covered number. "Net on plain hit" is profit after the losing chips are deducted. "Any covered number is Mega" is the chance the ball lands on one of your numbers while it carries a multiplier, using the observed 7.24% mega-hit rate from the last 90 days.

In 100 spins you expect about 93 losing spins at minus 7 each, roughly 650 units down, and about 7 multiplier spins, most of them 50x or 100x. A 500x arrives on 2.02% of mega hits, one every 700 spins or so. The plan is a slow drain interrupted by lumps, and the size of the lumps decides the session. The 2.70% edge is unchanged: 37 chips at 97.30% is the same expectation as one chip at 97.30%, 37 times over. Does Martingale on red or black survive Mega Roulette's limits?
No, and the limit arithmetic is short. Typical limits run from 0.10 to 5,000 per bet. Doubling from 0.10, the sixteenth bet is 3,276.80 and the seventeenth would be 6,553.60, above the cap. So a red-or-black Martingale gets sixteen tries, and sixteen losses in a row cost 6,553.50 in pursuit of a 0.10 profit.
A losing streak on red means black or zero, 19 of 37 pockets, 51.35% per spin. Sixteen straight losses have a probability of about 0.0024%, roughly one in 42,500 starting points. That looks safe until you notice our feed logs 55,861 spins in a typical 30-day window, so a streak that long is expected on the table more than once a month per colour. Our last 90 days contain a 17-spin black run and a 15-spin red run; the black run would have wiped a 0.10 red Martingale and left the player unable to place the next bet.
Progressions do not move the edge either. Each wager in the ladder is an independent 1:1 bet at 97.30%; the ladder only decides that you lose in one large block instead of many small ones. Chasing 7 because it is hot, or 12 because it is due, has the same expectation as betting 20 because you like the colour. The pocket that came up most in the last 90 days is not the pocket that will come up most in the next 90; the ball keeps no record of where it landed.
Colour streaks feel rarer than they are. Ten of the same colour in a row has a probability of 0.07% from any given starting spin, which in a 30-day window of 55,861 spins is roughly 40 such runs each way. A streak is a record of what happened. It does not shift the 48.65% for the next spin.

No. The chance that a spin lands on a Mega Number is about 7.2% regardless of how long it has been since the last one, because both the Mega Number draw and the ball are independent every round. In the last 90 days the average gap between mega hits was 13.8 spins and the longest was 156 spins.
The chance of no mega hit across N consecutive spins is 0.9276 to the power N: about 10.5% for 30 spins and 1.1% for 60. A 156-spin gap is near one in 120,000 from a given start, and the tracker still found one, because it watches over 100,000 spins a quarter. A player who sat out until the wheel was "due" and then bet straight-ups on spin 157 paid the same 2.70% as on spin 1.
Waiting for a 100x-or-better drought is the same fallacy with bigger numbers: the average gap between such hits is 21.6 spins, the longest observed 162.
