The 16 possible totals form a bell curve fixed by the 216 dice combinations, and the interesting variation lives in the Lightning multipliers layered on top. What does one Lightning Dice round record contain?

Five things: the three individual dice, their total, every total that was struck by Lightning with its multiplier, the side-bet Lightning outcomes, and a flag for whether the winning total was one of the struck ones.

That last flag is what we call a "lightning win". It matters because the multiplier column in our database is the multiplier applied to the winning outcome, and it reads 1 when the dice landed on an unstruck total. So a round with three struck totals and a plain result still stores a multiplier of 1. If you only looked at that column you would underestimate how often Lightning strikes; the per-strike data covers that gap.

The dice themselves are kept separately from the total. A 10 made of 4-3-3 and a 10 made of 6-2-2 are the same bet outcome, but storing the faces lets the tracker verify totals against the physical drop and, on newer tables, resolve the Double, Triple, Low and High side bets. We record the Lightning outcomes for those side bets too, though this page concentrates on the 16 totals because that is where most of the money is bet.

The largest gap belongs to total 8, at 0.21 points under theory, and total 8 is a 9.72% event, so 0.21 points across 118,314 rounds is a few hundred rounds of ordinary noise. Nothing in this table suggests a biased die or a weighted tower. The distribution is symmetric around 10.5 in theory, and the observed bars are close to mirror images of each other, which is a second, independent check on the dice.

Shorten the window to 24 hours and the bars will wobble more. A day holds around 2,000 rounds, so total 3 is expected to appear about nine times, and a day with four or fifteen appearances is unremarkable. The chart is doing its job when the long window looks like the theory and the short window looks noisy.

What do the Lightning multiplier stats measure?

Two different things, and the panel labels them separately: the multipliers assigned to struck totals before the drop, and the multipliers actually paid when the dice landed on a struck total.

Roughly 42% of strikes are 25x or lower, and about 32% are 100x or higher. The 1,000x maximum is assigned to 2.5% of strikes, which sounds frequent until you remember that the struck total still has to land. That is why the paid side of the panel looks so different from the assigned side.

The paid side is summarized by the lightning win rate: 31.25% of rounds in the last 90 days ended with the dice on a struck total (36,971 of 118,314). The remaining 68.75% paid the base odds, which range from 5:1 on 10 and 11 to 150:1 on 3 and 18. Why are the rare totals struck more often than 10 and 11?

Because the game balances every total to roughly the same return, and a total that lands once in 216 rounds needs a bigger and more frequent boost than one that lands once in eight.

Our per-total strike rates make this visible. Over 90 days, 46% of the rounds won by total 4 carried a multiplier, 41% for total 3, 43% for 16 and 42% for 17. The tracker's per-total breakdown shows the same three columns for whichever window you pick. Read it as a description of how the game's math is built rather than as a ranking of "good" totals. Total 3's 113x average is the product of a 150:1 base payout hitting once every 216 rounds and being struck 41% of the time; it is not a sign that 3 is generous. Total 3 and total 18 have slightly different averages (113x and 72x) because 33 rounds of 1,000x results is a small sample and where those few fell tilts the average. How big were the biggest results, and how rare are they?

Thirty-three rounds paid a 1,000x winning multiplier in the last 90 days, about one every 3,600 rounds. The tracker's highest multipliers panel lists each one with its date and total.

Examples from the window include total 3 on 2026-06-08, 2026-07-10, 2026-07-22 and 2026-07-23, and total 18 on 2026-06-27 and 2026-07-24. Two 1,000x rounds on consecutive July days look like a change at the table. Nothing changed; at one per 3,600 rounds and roughly 2,000 rounds a day, back-to-back days happen often enough that a 90-day window will usually contain a pair.

Stepping down the ladder, 145 rounds paid 500x or better and 1,757 paid 100x or better, which is 1.49% of rounds. So a 100x-plus result arrives about once every 67 rounds, or roughly every 40 minutes of play.

The maximum payout of 500,000 per player per round (operator dependent) caps what a 1,000x can return on a large bet. Our panel reports the multiplier, not cash, because bet sizes are private and limits vary between operators.

How does the drought tracker treat a 1-in-216 total?

It reports the current gap and the longest gap for every total in the window, and for the edge totals those gaps are long by design. Total 3 has a 0.46% chance per round, so the expected wait between appearances is 216 rounds, and the probability of a 500-round gap is (215/216)^500, which is 9.8%.

That figure is worth restating: about one in every ten stretches of 500 rounds contains no total 3 at all. At around 2,000 rounds a day, a 500-round gap is roughly six hours of play, and you will see such gaps on the drought tracker most weeks. For total 4 (1.39%) the expected gap is 72 rounds; for 10 or 11 it is 8 rounds.

The widget also lists the side-bet drought counters on tables that offer Double, Triple, Low and High, and it colors a total's gap relative to its own expected wait rather than in absolute rounds. A 40-round gap for total 10 is five times its average; a 40-round gap for total 3 is nothing.

The dice do not know how long a gap has been. Each drop resets to the same 216 combinations, so the chance of total 3 on the next round is 0.46% after a 10-round gap and 0.46% after a 900-round gap. What does the probability calculator do for a dice total?

It turns the 216-combination probabilities into the chance of at least one hit over a chosen number of rounds, for one total or a group of totals, and it shows the miss probability alongside.

Pick total 3 and 100 rounds and the calculator returns a 37% chance of at least one hit, with a 63% chance of none. Pick 10 and 11 together and one round gives a 25.0% hit chance; pick the block from 8 to 13 and the single-round hit chance rises to 67.6%. The calculator uses theory rather than our observed rates on purpose. The observed rates are within 0.25 points of theory anyway, and theory is the number that stays true for the next round.

What the calculator does not do is combine hit chance with payout to tell you an expected profit. That is deliberate. Every total is balanced to roughly the same return, and the return is below 100%. Covering 8 to 13 means six bets per round; a 67.6% hit rate on six bets where a 10 pays 5:1 still loses money over time. Use the calculator for expectations of frequency, and use the RTP page for expectations of money.

Do hot and cold totals carry any information?

They describe the selected window and nothing else. The hot/cold panel ranks the 16 totals by observed share against theory, so a total at +0.5 points in the last 24 hours sits at the top and one at -0.5 points sits at the bottom.

With three fair dice, the ranking reshuffles constantly. Total 11 was 0.14 points over theory across 90 days, which makes it "hot" in the widget's language, yet that is a difference of about 165 rounds out of 118,314. In a 24-hour window the same total can be 1.5 points over or under purely from sampling. Neither state predicts what the next drop does.

Two honest uses remain. First, the panel is a fast fairness check: if a total ran several points from theory for weeks over tens of thousands of rounds, that would be worth investigating, and the fairness index tracks exactly that across all our games. Second, it shows you your own recency bias. If the last twenty rounds felt "all high totals", the panel will usually reveal the 24-hour split as close to even.

Where does the data fall short?

Four places. The feed covers one Lightning Dice table, our record starts on 2025-12-28, the data is stored in UTC, and the tracker knows outcomes but not bets.

One table means our numbers describe the Riga stream we collect from. Dice physics do not change between tables, and the multiplier RNG is the same certified system, so the frequencies should transfer, but a specific 1,000x listed here happened on our table, not necessarily the one you were watching.

The start date matters for anyone who wants lifetime records. Lightning Dice launched in 2019 and our 291,614 rounds cover eight months. The biggest result ever paid on the game is not something we can state, and any "all-time" claim on this site means since 2025-12-28.

Finally, we do not see wagers. The lightning win rate and average multiplier are per-round facts about the dice and the RNG. They say nothing about how much was bet on the struck total, and a 1,000x on a total nobody backed pays nobody. How should I use Lightning Dice stats when I play?

As a reference for what normal looks like, so that the ordinary swings of a dice game do not read as signals. The most useful numbers on the tracker are the base ones: 12.5% for the best total, 0.46% for the worst, 31.25% of rounds carrying a multiplier, and about 1.5% of rounds paying 100x or more.
