Fireball Roulette Bonus Explained: Fireball Boosters vs the 2,500x Bonus Grid

By LiveCasinoData editorial team ยท Updated 2026-08-28 ยท 11 min read

Fireball Roulette carries two separate multiplier systems: a 2x to 20x Fireball booster that lands on some Bonus Numbers before the wheel spins, and a 30x to 2,500x bonus grid game that opens only when a Straight Up bet hits a winning Bonus Number. Our tracker recorded the grid game opening on 11.39% of 84,583 rounds over 90 days, and a booster on the actual winning number just 1.46% of the time, topping out at 20x. The grid's own payout never reaches our feed, so we can confirm the booster in detail but not the final Straight Up return.

Key takeaways

  • The Fireball Bonus grid game opened on 11.39% of 84,583 rounds tracked over 90 days, close to the 11.69% predicted by an average of 4.33 Bonus Numbers per round.
  • A Fireball booster landed on the actual winning number in only 1.46% of rounds, with a median booster of 3x, an average of 3.86x, and an all-time high of 20x.
  • 87.16% of Fireball Bonus grid triggers (8,399 of 9,636) carried no booster at all; just 12.84% (1,237) combined the grid result with a 2x-20x multiplier.
  • The bonus grid itself pays 30x to 500x per Regular pocket among 149 pockets, doubling on every DOUBLE pocket up to a hard cap of 2,500x, a figure our data cannot confirm because the grid result never reaches our feed.
  • Straight Up pays 25:1 at a 97.00% theoretical RTP, while every other bet keeps standard European odds at 97.30% RTP, a 2.70% house edge the Fireball feature does not touch.

Fireball Roulette runs two separate multiplier systems on top of standard European roulette: a 2x to 20x Fireball booster that lands on some of the round's Bonus Numbers, and a Fireball Bonus grid game worth 30x to 2,500x that opens only for a Straight Up bet on a winning Bonus Number. Our live tracker has logged 219,491 rounds of this Evolution table since 2026-01-07, including 84,583 in the last 90 days. This page separates both layers, states the real trigger odds, and shows exactly which numbers our data can and cannot confirm.

What is the Fireball feature in Fireball Roulette?

The Fireball feature is two systems stacked on one wheel, and confusing them is the most common mistake players make with this table. Before the ball is launched, a virtual slot machine marks between 3 and 7 numbers on the layout as Bonus Numbers for that round. A shower of Fireballs then lands on some of those Bonus Numbers, giving each one a booster of 2x to 20x; a Bonus Number that catches no Fireball simply keeps no booster. Only after that does Evolution spin the physical wheel.

If the ball settles on a plain, non-Bonus number, the round plays out like ordinary European roulette: Straight Up pays 25:1 and every other bet keeps its usual odds (Split 17:1, Street 11:1, Corner 8:1, Line 5:1, Column or Dozen 2:1, and the even-money bets at 1:1). If the ball lands on a Bonus Number, a Straight Up bet on that exact number unlocks the second stage, the Fireball Bonus grid game. Any other bet type on a winning Bonus Number, split, corner, dozen, still just pays its normal odds; the grid is reserved for Straight Up.

The rules and payout structure here come from Evolution's own game help, covered in more depth on the Fireball Roulette guide and how to play page. The rest of this page focuses on how often each layer fires and what our tracker actually measured.

How many Bonus Numbers appear each round, and how often is the winner one of them?

Most rounds carry 3 or 4 Bonus Numbers, not the full 7. Over the last 90 days our tracker recorded this spread:

Bonus Numbers per round Share (90 days)
3 30.66%
4 29.05%
5 23.12%
6 11.43%
7 5.76%

The average works out to 4.33 Bonus Numbers per round. Since the wheel has 37 pockets, that average implies an 11.69% chance that whichever number wins was also a Bonus Number, before any thought is given to which bet you placed. That figure sets the ceiling for how often the grid game can possibly open, and it lines up closely with what we actually measured in the next section.

How often does the Fireball Bonus grid actually open?

11.39% of rounds. In the last 90 days the winning number was a Bonus Number on 9,636 of 84,583 spins, a rate of 11.39% against the 11.69% predicted from the average Bonus Number count above, a gap well inside normal variance. That works out to an average gap of 8.8 spins between grid openings, with a longest observed gap of 96 spins.

It is worth separating two things that sound similar but are not. "The grid opened" means the winning number was a Bonus Number, full stop, regardless of what anyone bet. Whether a specific player's Straight Up bet actually entered the grid depends entirely on whether their chip was on that number, which is a separate question covered in the Fireball Chaser section below.

Of the 9,636 rounds where the grid opened, only 12.84% (1,237 rounds) had a winning Bonus Number that also carried a Fireball booster. The remaining 87.16% (8,399 rounds) entered the grid with no booster attached, meaning the grid's Regular pocket value was paid as is. Boosted grid entries are the exception, not the norm.

What is the Fireball booster, and how often does each strength land?

The booster is a 2x to 20x multiplier assigned to a Bonus Number when a Fireball lands on it during the pre-spin animation. Across the 365,889 individual Bonus Numbers drawn in the last 90 days, here is how the booster values broke down:

Booster Share of Bonus Numbers drawn
No Fireball 87.32%
2x 4.06%
3x 4.02%
4x 1.88%
5x 1.26%
7x 0.75%
10x 0.46%
15x 0.20%
20x 0.05%

Two patterns stand out. First, the vast majority of Bonus Numbers, more than 8 in 10, receive no Fireball at all; a boosted Bonus Number is closer to a bonus-on-a-bonus than a routine occurrence. Second, only the exact values 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 20 appeared in our data; there is no 6x, 8x or 9x step, the scale jumps rather than climbs evenly.

How rare is a boosted winning number, and what is the biggest booster we have recorded?

A Fireball booster landed on the actual winning number in 1.46% of rounds over the last 90 days, an average gap of 68 spins and a longest observed gap of 433 spins. When it did happen, the paid booster had a median of 3x, an average of 3.86x, and a 90th percentile of 7x. The maximum booster we have ever recorded is 20x, and it is a ceiling, not a rare fluke that occasionally gets beaten; every boosted winner we have logged tops out there.

The 20x booster on a winning number showed up eight times in the last 90 days: 2026-07-16 (on number 29), 07-18 (13), 07-27 (20), 08-09 (35), 08-11 (25), 08-15 (35), 08-17 (27) and 08-18 (4). The first 20x we ever logged, going back to the start of our tracking, landed on 2026-01-21 on number 24, and no larger booster has appeared since.

Inside the Fireball Bonus grid game: 149 pockets, DOUBLE, and the 2,500x cap

When the grid opens, a ball is launched into a physical layout of 149 multiplier pockets. Most pockets are Regular pockets holding a fixed value between 30x and 500x; landing on one pays that value straight away. A smaller number of pockets read DOUBLE. Landing on a DOUBLE pocket doubles every Regular value still on the grid and sends the ball out for another launch, and this can repeat multiple times in a single bonus round. The chain stops the moment the ball lands on a Regular pocket, or when every value on the grid has reached the hard cap of 2,500x, at which point any remaining DOUBLE pockets simply pay 2,500x as well.

Booster stacking is the point where the two systems meet. If the winning Bonus Number carried a 2x to 20x Fireball booster before the wheel even spun, that booster multiplies whatever the grid game ultimately pays, still subject to the same 2,500x cap. A Bonus Number with no booster attached, which is the outcome in 87.16% of grid triggers per the earlier section, pays the grid's own result with no further multiplication.

Evolution states the maximum single-player payout on any round, Fireball or otherwise, is typically capped around 500,000 in the operator's currency, separate from the 2,500x multiplier cap itself.

Why can't our multiplier data show your actual bonus payout?

Because the feed that powers this tracker does not carry the grid's result. Our multiplier column, the one used throughout our RTP tracker and live stats page, records the Fireball booster only, a value from 1x (no Fireball, or a non-Bonus win) up to the observed 20x ceiling. It is not, and was never designed to be, the 30x to 2,500x payout that comes out of the physical grid game.

This matters for one specific reason: do not read a "20x" on our tracker as the biggest win Fireball Roulette has produced. It is the biggest Fireball booster we have observed on a winning number, which is a real and useful figure on its own, but it says nothing about what that spin actually paid a Straight Up bettor once the grid ran. The grid could have landed a 30x Regular pocket or chained through several DOUBLE pockets toward the 2,500x cap; our data has no way to distinguish between those outcomes. Anyone quoting an exact grid payout for a specific round on this site's data alone is going beyond what the feed supports.

Does a Fireball drought mean a booster or bonus trigger is due?

No. Each spin of a fair wheel is an independent event, and nothing about a long gap changes the probability on the next one. Our own data illustrates why droughts happen even in a correctly functioning game: the grid game averages a trigger every 8.8 spins, yet the longest gap we recorded was 96 spins, roughly eleven times the average. A boosted winning number averages a gap of 68 spins, yet stretched to 433 spins at its longest.

The probability of no grid trigger across N spins in a row is 0.886 raised to the power of N, since 11.39% is roughly the observed per-spin trigger rate. Over 20 spins that works out to an 8.9% chance of a complete miss; over 50 spins it drops to about 0.2%, rare but far from impossible across the tens of thousands of rounds our tracker logs each quarter. A 96-spin gap sitting inside that long tail is not evidence anything is "due," it is what a random process produces when it runs often enough.

What is the Fireball Chaser side bet, and does it change your odds?

Fireball Chaser is an optional side bet that automatically places a chip on every Bonus Number in the round once they are revealed, for a cost of roughly 13.6 times your chip amount. It does not change the underlying probability of anything; it changes what you are covering.

Without Chaser, a Straight Up bet on one specific number only enters the grid if that number is both a Bonus Number and the eventual winner, a chance of roughly 0.32% per spin, about 1 in 316. With Chaser covering every Bonus Number that round, your chance of being in position for the grid rises to the full 11.7% rate at which the grid opens at all, about 1 in 8.6 spins, but at the cost of paying for every Bonus Number, most of which will not win. The house edge on the underlying bets is unchanged either way; Chaser buys coverage, not better odds. How this trade-off compares across a session is worked through in more detail on the strategy page.

Does the wheel favor Bonus Numbers, or particular pockets?

No, and our data backs that up independently of the Fireball feature. Bonus Numbers are assigned by a separate RNG process before the wheel spins; the physical wheel itself has no memory of which numbers were marked. Over the last 90 days our tracked wheel results sat close to theory across the board: zero landed 2.63% of spins against a 2.70% theoretical share, red 48.75% and black 48.62% against 48.65% each, odd 48.40%, low numbers (1-18) 48.75%, and the three dozens at 32.48%, 32.56% and 32.33% against a theoretical 32.43% each.

The individual number spread is similarly tight. The hottest numbers over the period were 12 (2.83%), 27 (2.79%) and 19 (2.79%); the coldest were 17 (2.58%), 3 (2.61%) and 24 (2.62%), all within the range normal variance produces. Round volume itself peaked between 13:00 and 16:00 UTC over the last 30 days, which affects how many spins pass in an hour but not the odds on any one of them. A wider fairness discussion across our tracked games is available on the Fairness Index page.

None of this changes the underlying maths: Straight Up carries a 97.00% theoretical RTP (a 3.00% house edge), and every other bet on the table sits at 97.30% (2.70% edge), identical to standard European roulette. The Fireball feature adds volatility, not value; no bet on this table beats the house over time, and neither the booster nor a drought in either direction is a signal to change how much you stake. If tracking your own play ever stops feeling like entertainment, resources on responsible limits are collected on our Observatory page.

Frequently asked questions

What triggers the Fireball Bonus game in Fireball Roulette?

A Straight Up bet on the number the ball lands on, when that number was already marked as one of the round's 3 to 7 Bonus Numbers. Betting on a non-Bonus number that wins pays 25:1 with no grid game. Betting any other bet type, split, corner, dozen, on a winning Bonus Number pays its normal odds only; the grid opens for Straight Up bets alone.

How often does the Fireball bonus hit in Fireball Roulette?

Our tracker recorded the Fireball Bonus grid opening on 9,636 of 84,583 rounds in the last 90 days, or 11.39%, an average gap of 8.8 spins and a longest gap of 96. That is the chance the winning number is a Bonus Number; a Straight Up bet only collects if you happened to be on that exact number.

What is the biggest multiplier in Fireball Roulette?

The design cap on the bonus grid is 2,500x, but that figure is Evolution's published maximum, not something our feed records. Our tracker only sees the Fireball booster, capped in practice at 20x, which we observed on winning numbers eight times in the last 90 days. We cannot report an actual biggest Straight Up win from our data.

Is Fireball Roulette the same as Lightning Roulette?

No. Both are Evolution roulette variants with a pre-spin multiplier step, but the mechanics differ. Lightning Roulette strikes 1 to 5 numbers with a fixed 50x-500x multiplier and pays straight-up wins 29:1. Fireball Roulette marks 3 to 7 Bonus Numbers, applies a smaller 2x-20x booster, pays 25:1, and adds a separate bonus grid game worth up to 2,500x. See the Lightning Roulette guide for its own numbers.

Can a Fireball Roulette drought be predicted or is a bonus "due"?

No. Each spin is independent. Our data shows a 96-spin gap between grid triggers and a 433-spin gap between boosted winning numbers, both far above the averages of 8.8 and 68 spins, which is exactly what randomness produces over time. Neither gap changes the odds on the next spin.
